tell you that the daytrips rock. Why? The bus.
We party on the way home. :)
Yes, after a day of hard-core skiing and riding, we break
open our 12-packs of beer and pass 'em around,
followed by our home-cooked goodies (with the
bonhomie of a Pillsbury Bake-off), and bond. By the
time we get back to the city, everyone's been laughing
and trading stories, some are downright tipsy, and a few
of us have drifted off to that kind of sleep that feels
especially amazing after a day on the slopes...
And the fun all starts at the crack of dawn.

To accommodate even more members this year, we've got seven daytrips to our local resorts. For each trip,
we've got our own private bus, which picks us up and drops us off at Penn Station.
Members may also choose to drive and meet us at our daytrip destinations, however, they must buy their own
lift tickets and arrange their own equipment. SKI BUMS cannot offer group discounts for those who do not ride
the bus. (Visit our FAQ for more information).

Highlights of our 2007 series of daytrips include:
If you're a member and you would like to drive and meet us at the mountain: You're
invited to do so! Please notify us at least seven days in advance, so we can add you to our
trip roster and make sure you know where to find us for our morning group-up, lunch time, and
apres ski. We don't want you to miss out on the fun! All those who drive to meet us must arrange
their own lift ticket and/or equipment rentals. Visit our FAQ for more information.
What you should bring on each daytrip: We'll email you with more detailed information, but
you should plan to wear your ski clothes on the bus ride up; most of us will also bring a change of
clothes for the end of the day. You'll also want to bring lunch money (or a brown bag), and
snacks / drinks to share on the bus ride home!
If you're brand-new to skiing & boarding: Although we devote the day to the "newbies" at
Bunny Hill, beginners are welcome on all our daytrips! In our 2006 season, we had first-time
skiers and boarders on every daytrip. Instructors are available at each of our destinations, and
the BUMS love to offer a warm welcome to "newbies" throughout the season! Email us to ask
about how to arrange a lesson if you're a first-time skier or snowboarder.
