SKI BUMS :: Gay & lesbian skiing and snowboarding club
SKI BUMS offers wait lists for all our sold out trips. There is no obligation when you add your name to a SKI BUMS wait list. As you may know, spaces are made available for nearly every trip we host. But it's important to be realistic: those spaces usually open up at the last minute.
In other words, you'd be wise to keep your calendar free. You'll could very likely get a phone call or an email the day before the trip when it's a daytrip, or within a week of departure when it's an overnight trip.
PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL US TO ASK ABOUT YOUR CHANCES OF RECEIVING A SPOT, or inquire when a cancellation could come in. We cannot predict the future; please don't ask us to.
HOW OUR WAIT LISTS WORK + You must be a registered member to sign up for a wait list. Membership is free. Sign up here >
+ If a space becomes available, we will contact you by phone, email or text message — usually all three. It’s important that you provide an email address that you actually check on a regular basis.
+ You’ll be given a specific window of time in which you must decide whether or not you’re going to accept the wait list spot and sign up. If you have not signed up and submitted payment within this window of time, your spot will be forfeited and offered to the next person on the list.
+ Occasionally, if the trip is imminent, we will email EVERYONE on the wait list and ask you to inform us if you can no longer accept a spot. This helps us work through the list more efficiently.
PLAN AHEAD FOR NEXT SEASON
We announce the majority of our trip dates by mid-summer, and signup usually begins in late summer / early fall for the upcoming season. Our members receive notifications when signup begins.
