SKI BUMS is embarking on an ambitious new project to evaluate the level of equality in the workplace for LGBT employees of the ski and snowboard industry, and we need your help.
In the coming months, we hope to contact more than 250 HR departments of ski resorts, ski and snowboard gear manufacturers, and ski resort lodging properties to invite them to complete a simple survey, measuring their level of commitment to equality for their LGBT employees. We need volunteers to email and call the HR departments of these companies, present our equality survey, and follow-up to make sure they've completed our survey. We plan to publish the results in a new guide, helping LGBT skiers and snowboarders select companies who value equality.
We need all the assistance we can get to complete this project. Thank you for volunteering to help!

Discovering the rich expanse of the backcountry. Turning tricks in the halfpipe. Freeing your heel and gliding down the mountain in a tele turn. This is the stuff you've been watching other people do... until now. With SKI BUMS new series of programs, you can expand your skills in horizon-broadening new ways, and do so alongside other like-minded new friends who are in it for the thrill of the mountain.
Exclusively for SKI BUMS members, our 2010 destinations will include on-mountain clinics with licensed instructors and other SKI BUMS program participants. We'll set up a plan with you and the other participants to learn from the best and brightest -- all you've got to do is work up the courage to show up and try something new. :)
As we've seen with our annual daytrip, Bunny Hill, learning something new alongside the BUMS is an amazing way to make new friends. That's why we're expanding our learning curve for 2010, offering you the chance to develop even deeper passion for high-level skills that take skiing and snowboarding to the most extreme levels of fun.
