NYC, competing to win a free seven-day trip to one of the world's most spectacular winter resort
destinations: St. Anton, Austria. It's THE BUMS RUSH, and it's our charity benefit for Lambda Legal.
Inspired by the hit TV show "The Amazing Race," THE BUMS RUSH is an exhilarating, fun-filled day where
teams of two embark on a pulse-racing series of challenges tracing through historic sites and undiscovered
corners of the city. The excitement culminates at The Bums Rush Finish Line Party, a special Avalanche
where the winning team will claim the Grand Prize: a trip with SKI BUMS to St. Anton, Austria. They'll each win
seven nights of hotel accommodations with breakfasts and 4-course gourmet dinners, a six day lift
ticket for the thrilling slopes of St. Anton, and round-trip airfare from New York City. In addition,
the remaining contestants will all be entered into a series of additional prize drawings!

$45 registration fee per contestant (payable as one payment of $90 per team).
Each team must have at least one digital camera (with an on-screen display) which will
be used throughout the race to verify that you've performed certain tasks.
Each contestant must have a valid New York City MTA MetroCard (it can be a $7
unlimited day pass if you like).
To win our Grand Prize, you must attend our
Finish Line Party that evening. The finale will
begin at 9 PM, and you'll have a break beforehand
to get dinner and freshen up.
Contestants must be at least 21 years of age.
In addition, you should have:

A: No. Of course, it wouldn't hurt... but I also wouldn't hurt if you're terribly intelligent,
refreshingly resourceful, really darn lucky, smart about planning things, and know New
York City like the back of your hand. We've designed a race with an array of surprises
and unexpected twists, and we're going to have a great time leveling the playing field. No
one factor will automatically win out over another.
Q: My employer has a matching donations program for charitable causes. Will
my matched conations count toward my fund-raising total?
A: We can only add these donations to your fund-raising total if your corporation makes
a donation in the form of a check, which you submit on the morning of the race. You
must have a check with you, in hand, for the donation to be considered part of your
fund-raising total.
Q: I'm determined to win! What should I do to increase my chances of winning?
A: Recruit your friends to join us, raise money for Lambda Legal, and be sure to read the
pre-race emails, which will contain valuable clues for your research in advance. They'll
