There's nothing like trying something new, especially
when you're a full grown adult who's already perfectly
good at any number of other things. It takes courage,
support, and in our case, a bus full of excited skiers and
boarders to cheer you on!
Welcome to BUNNY HILL. It's the first trip of each SKI
BUMS season, and it's the day when we invite all the
newbies to learn to ski or board! On Saturday, January
7th, 55 of us boarded a sold-out bus to Windham
Mountain, where twenty of our participants learned to ski
or snowboard for the first time!
What did they think? Come to an AVALANCHE and you'll
hear oft-repeated choruses of "I loved it!" "I can't wait
to go again!" and "I'm signing up for all the other trips!"
The day was simply beautiful, the instructors at
Windham were top-notch, and we're tremendously proud
of the BUMS who are newly hooked on skiing and
boarding. If this fun, laid-back, and entertaining group of
people is any indication, we're in for a stellar 2006
season!
