Visit Utah's 2002 Olympic venues in style! Join SKI BUMS in Park City, March 12 - 16

Two years ago, I'd never skied down an Olympic course.

I think I assumed that they'd be far above my skill level;
these courses were designated, after all, for the world's very
best skiers (of which, I'm
certainly not.) Then, upon arriving
at Snowbasin in Utah, I found myself riding up a gondola with
a group of enthusiasts. "We're gonna go hit the mens &
women's Olympic courses, right?" they said, as if listing off
casual "to do's" for the day...

Next thing I knew, I was standing at the top of a
pretty darn
steep drop
... with a spectacular view.

I learned something that day. YES, an Olympic run can be
spooky and intimidating...
if your goal is to get down the thing
as quckly as possible.
If you're simply skiing it, though, the
way you'd ski or ride any other trail?

Wow. One of the most fun runs I'd ever been on. I did it four more times that day. I'm Chris, and I'll be
personally leading your SKI BUMS vacation to Park City, Utah in March, 2008.

Historically, March is Utah's snowiest month, when dry "champagne powder" blankets
the Wasatch. The weeks are full of bluebird days this time of year -- fresh snowfall
with a sunny sky -- and you'll enjoy three days at some of the country's best resorts.
We'll start by exploring The Canyons and Park City Mountain Resort, and follow it up
with our own private shuttle bus to the gorgeous Snowbasin, where the lodges are as
spectacular as the terrain.

And
wow, what terrain this is. If you've never skied or boarded in the West, it really
doesn't get much better than this. The largest resort in this area, The Canyons, has
3,700 skiiable acres (more than 6 times the size of Mount Snow, Vermont). There's
ample terrain for beginners through experts, and the kind of soft cushion underneath
you that can actually make it
fun to fall down. ;)

Depending on when you fly, you may want to add in a fourth day. Skiers go ga-ga at the
groomers-paradise (and #1 rated resort by the readers of
Ski Magazine), Deer Valley, while boarders often
want a second day to play at The Canyons. Catch an early morning flight and you can get in some good
laps on Wednesday, or take a late return on Sunday after a morning on the slopes -- it's up to you.  SKI
BUMS will make arrangements to coordinate those of you who might like to take your fourth day together.
Walk along historic Main Street in Park City

Park City is kinda the perfect mountain town. You can literally
ski or ride INTO the town (there's actually a bridge that crosses
historic Main Street, where skiers and boarders hop the "Town"
chairlift.) There are great restaurants, cool galleries and shops,
and a laid-back, chill vibe. Park City lacks attitude... and
parking space. (Locals joke that the most impossible thing to do
in Park City is
park.) Thankfully, free public buses and a trolley
make it easy to get around.

Each evening, SKI BUMS will offer up hand-picked outings from
among our favorite spots in town -- including a return to the
SKI BUMS favorite,
Wasatch Brew Pub, home of the famous
Polygamy Porter. We'll enjoy delicious meals at spots like
350 Main. And, we always include some free time to make your
own plans with new friends. Thankfully, we'll be staying right
along the bus route -- just a few minutes from Main Street --
at one of the area's most comfortable hotels.
Relax in style at the Park City Marriott Resort

When the Sundance Film Festival comes to town, they select the Park City Marriott as their host hotel. With a
convenient location, comfy rooms, a kickin' hot breakfast buffet and souped-up amenities (like in-room mini
fridges and free WiFi in the lobby & lounges), we'll be relaxing in style. Enjoy the indoor pool and hot tub,
check out the workout room, or take advantage of their in-house rental shop. Our rooms are double
occupancy, and as always, SKI BUMS will happily assign you a roommate based on your
preferences if you're
traveling solo (you'll have the chance to meet the other participants at our pre-trip Meet & Greet). If you
prefer, single occupancies are also available.
To make things even easier for our members to plan their own air travel,
SKI BUMS is very pleased to offer our own discounted fares through
American Airlines' AA.com/rainbow. Through this offer, you can select to
travel to Salt Lake City from any airport in the US, and you'll receive a
