Discover America's most stunning terrain at Jackson Hole, Wyoming - January 16 - 20
Our trip includes a three day lift ticket to the Jackson Hole
Mountain Resort. That's the perfect dosage of time to discover,
tackle, then conquer this mountain. :)

Boarders: take note -- One of SKI BUMS very own members
is a certified snowboarding instructor at Jackson Hole. Now in his
third year on the Jackson Hole staff, he's offered to set up our
own group snowboarding clinic. There's nothing like a local to
show you the mountain! And, Jackson Hole is an ideal place to
perfect your technique...
New Yorkers don't really talk about pitch the way that
folks in Jackson Hole do.

In New York City, a pitch is tossed out at a Yankees
game. It's presented to a roomful of book publishing
execs. It's debated at a workplace water-cooler the
morning after an episode of "American Idol."

In Jackson Hole, it's 55° of sheer excitement.

Jackson Hole routinely ranks #1 in terrain /
challenge
in Ski Magazine's annual ranking; it's got
over 4,000 feet of vertical, and a whopping 50% of
the mountain is rated black or double-black diamond.
It's also home to the Alta Chutes, the steepest run in
the US. In addition, it's got one of America's highest
annual snowfall averages, at
460 inches per year
(just a tad shy of those record-breakin' resorts out in
Utah). Put this all together and you'll know why Jackson Hole is many skiers' and riders' absolute favorite
resort. You couldn't begin to get bored on these mountains.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort sits about 15 minutes outside the town of Jackson, Wyoming -- an old
western cow town that's many feel is well on its way to becoming the next Aspen. With Hollywood-types
building mansion ranches, the locals aren't quite sure what to make of all the attention they've been getting
lately. On a powder day, however, they know what to do: they head for the hills!
If you're an intermediate skier or boarder, this mountain will challenge you. Jackson Hole is reputed to
have the "toughest blues in the West," and after you've had a few days on this terrain, you'll emerge with
greater skills and a major boost in confidence.
Ski Magazine calls Jackson Hole's Gros Ventre run the best
all-around intermediate run in the country: "the long, invigorating ride is more than memorable: it's what
skiing is all about."
If you're an advanced skier or boarder,
you're probably well aware of Jackson Hole's
reputation by now. It's one of those mountains
that people speak of with a kind of
reverent
awe.
There's nothing like tackling this terrain
with the BUMS, and we're especially
encouraging all our advanced and expert folks
to sign up for this trip!
If you're a beginner, SKI BUMS does not recommend this trip. There won't be much for beginners to
enjoy at Jackson Hole, or others to enjoy it with you. Instead, we invite you to consider our trips to
Killington, Park City or Telluride, all of which have a great variety of beginner terrain.
