A few seasons ago, we nicknamed our trip to Belleayre "Greenish-Blue." It's the kind of mountain where, if you're
a beginner or intermediate skier or boarder, there's a plentiful supply of long, meandering runs with fun dips and
tree-canopy hallows that put
greenish-blue folks into a state of snowy bliss. Less crowded than some of its
neighbors, Belleayre has recently been given
a glowing treatment by The New York Times, and rightfully so. It's
simply a fun place to ski and board, especially for beginners and intermediates.

If you're just discovering SKI BUMS, we strongly encourage you to snag a spot on this daytrip while there's still
space available. The new members of 2008 are having
a fantastic time, and we're eager to meet even more new
people!

To be fair, there are some crazy fun black diamond runs (see the trail map)
to be found at Belleayre, and you'll find a mogul run or two that make for
great practice. And, there's a lift operator in a sound booth who's known for
pulling out vintage Ethel Merman recordings. But, as on all our daytrips,
you can expect that the unquestionable highlight of the day will be our
bus
party ride home.
If our first few daytrips of 2008 are any indication, the
BUMS have handily continued our tradition of delicious homemade food, a
plentiful supply of beer, and even a specialty cocktail or two (difficult, as it
may be, to balance a plastic cup while switch-backing down a mountain
road in a charter bus).
New spaces are now available. If you are a registered
member, you're invited to sign up now for this Saturday's trip to
Belleayre!
