Mount Snow, Vermont
In each of our last two seasons, the demand for our weekend trips to Vermont has been
through the roof. This year, we've scheduled two different trips, and we're especially excited to
return to Mount Snow, where we had our first memorable weekend getaway back in 2005.
We're staying right at the base of Mount Snow, at the Seasons condos. Click here to view a
map. We'll have a welcome party on Friday night, and a kickin' pizza party on Saturday night
at one of the local haunts. Our weekends in Vermont are always memorable, fun-loving, and
chill... and the sort of thing that leads to amazing friendships. Ask anyone who went to
Killington last year!
For those who went to Killington: You may notice that the price is higher for this trip than
our trip last year. Primarily, this is because we're staying right at the mountain; no more
waiting in the snowy cold for a shuttle bus! Also, we've included all incidental costs for our
parties, etc, so you won't have to pay a cover charge to get in anywhere. :)
Carpool: Believe it or not, the carpool to Vermont has proven to be one of the unexpected
highlights of each season. It's a road trip. It's a bonding experience. It's the chance to crank
the tunes and tell silly stories. SKI BUMS helps to coordinate it each year; plan to contribute
gas money if you don't have a car.
You should plan to leave the city by NOON on Friday, so you can drive to Mount Snow in
time to check in at our condos and join us for our welcome reception. It's about a four-hour
drive to Mount Snow. On Sunday, we'll ski and ride for a full day, enjoy a quick apres ski, then
drive back home. Expect to get home fairly late on Sunday night, depending on traffic.
Earlier departure: some members will want to get in an extra day on the slopes, and will
leave at the crack of dawn on Friday. If you'd like to do that as well, let us know.
Roommates: After signing up for this trip, you may make request to share a room with
someone. If no request is made, SKI BUMS will arrange a roommate for you. We tend to put
people together who are around the same age.
Single-occupancy: There may be single occupancy spots available for an upgrade charge.
