We began hosting trips in 2005 with a simple goal: to bring gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people together to experience the incredible fun of skiing and snowboarding, and to create an atmosphere that leads to life-long friendships.
It all began in New York City, but before long, we started growing and attracting members from across the USA. Today, we're the world's largest LGBT skiing and snowboarding club, with hundreds of members from all over the world.

Our members are affectionately known as "the BUMS," and that's probably an accurate description of our attitude: we're very laid-back. Come as you are, we say. There's no need here for pretension; it's hard to worry about how you look when we're all sporting 'helmet head' hairdos after a day of serious shredding out on the mountain. The BUMS don't care much about what you do or who you know. We're simply here to have a whole lot of fun in the snow.
That attitude really reflects in the kind of men and women who get involved in SKI BUMS. We're the sort of people who like adventure, who enjoy getting out of the house and trying something new. You'll notice it immediately: this is an atypical crowd.

For example, a 2011 3 day peak season lift ticket at Stowe normally costs $259. We pay $170.
