Come meet the BUMS! Get a feel for our laid-back, friendly vibe. Chat us up about your favorite skiing and snowboarding destinations. Get advice on gear, or find a roomie for an upcoming trip. Meet the skiers and boarders who you'll be tearing up the mountains alongside this winter. And then, after a trip, reconnect with all your new friends and maintain those new friendships all season long. This is Avalanche, and it's our ongoing party for SKI BUMS and friends. It's a come-as-you-are, relaxed evening at a local bar, and it's the perfect way to check out SKI BUMS and get a good sense of what we're all about.

AIDS WALK NEW YORK
We've supported AIDS Walk since our very first season in 2005, and we're thrilled to come together again to raise awareness and funds for a very important cause. EVERYONE -- whether you're in the BUMS or you're merely a friend of a friend of a friend who's been on a trip with us -- is welcome to join the SKI BUMS AIDS Walk Team!

After 9 AM, it's really hard to find us, so please plan ahead and come early. There are thousands upon thousands of people participating, and once the walk begins, it's impossible to find someone within that moving sea of people.

Marching in the NYC Pride March is an exhilarating experience -- the crowds alongside the streets literally cheer for you. It's hard to top the kind of feel-good-vibes that you'll feel when you turn the corner, just past the Stonewall Inn where it all began, and weave your way down Christopher Street. Taking part in this historic tradition is something every New Yorker should do at least once -- many of the BUMS do it every year.

We've got dozens of BUMS who have found their way to the SKI BUMS site from the beautiful land down under, and especially with our trip to Niseko, Japan on the calendar for 2013, we're eager for the Aussie BUMS to finally meet one another!
