Our members love the way we plan our trips.
Why? Because we've thought of every detail for you, so you don't have to worry about a thing. From the moment the trip begins, you'll always know where to meet the other BUMS, how to get from here to there, and how to smoothly flow with all the trip's logistics.
But we also build freedom into our itinerary, so if you'd ever like to break away and do your own thing, you can.
It's a big reason why we've built a great reputation for zero drama on our trips. So relax. Take a deep breath of fresh mountain air, take in a spectacular view and let us worry about the details.

Carpool: Our participants will drive to Vermont on their own, but SKI BUMS will assist with a coordinated carpool for our New York City participants. By all means, be proactive; it'll help us focus on those who need rides. Powder Room in January is a good time to discuss rides with other participants and make your own plans.
Departure: In terms of planning your day, please aim to be at our hotel by 6 PM. New York City-area BUMS should plan to leave the city by noon. Boston-area BUMS should plan to leave by 2 PM.

SKI BUMS trips are always extra fun when you've got a few friends along for the adventure. Best of all, if your friends don't ski or ride at the same level as you, they'll still have a super-fun group of people to join them on the mountain!

Our home-away-from-home for the weekend is the delightfully charming Good Commons bed and breakfast in Plymouth, Vermont. We've reserved the entire property.
Our trip includes three days of lift tickets. We'll have a 2-day lift ticket to Killington Resort and a 1-day lift ticket to Okemo Resort. Each ski area is about a twenty minute drive from Good Commons.
We will carpool to Vermont and use cars to get around after we're there. SKI BUMS will help coordinate a carpool, but you're encouraged to be proactive -- so feel free to start working on rides!
Our trip includes most meals. Treat your taste buds to three dinners, three breakfasts and three afternoon snacks prepared by an in-house chef, trained at the French Culinary Institute. If you have dietary restrictions, you can tell us on the sign up form.
Transportation costs | Lunches | Alcoholic beverages at Good Commons (we are encouraged to bring our own liquor and wine) | Equipment rental
We will arrange a carpool and discounted equipment rentals in January / February.

You do not need a roommate to sign up; we are happy to arrange roommates for you. Typically, half of our participants ask us to arrange roommates for them; our sign-up form has a few easy questions to accommodate your preferences. Good Commons features a variety of room types; couples will receive priority for the king and queen beds.
Equipment rentals are not included in our trip price. We'll provide an option to include discounted equipment rental at a later date; you should budget about $35 per day for rentals.
We recommend this trip for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels! Each ski area has a wonderful variety of terrain, so you'll be able to have fun on the slopes no matter how much skiing or snowboarding you've done before. As on all SKI BUMS trips, we'll form groups based on skill levels, so you'll always have others to ski or board with who are at your same level.

One-in-five of the SKI BUMS members are women. Although you're welcome on absolutely every trip we host, we know that sometimes it's extra fun to have a getaway just with the girls. if you're a gal who enjoys the snow, we've got a weekend just for you.
We've booked a delightful, award-winning bed & breakfast in Vermont that's all ours for the weekend. We'll enjoy a day at Okemo and two days at Killington. A private chef is there on hand, cooking up delicious home-cooked meals each morning and evening. We'll even host a competitive wine tasting party, which is sure to have you laughing all night long. Join us for a dreamy winter weekend with the SKI BUMS ladies!
